Meetings for the season

Hey y'all we are meeting @ the Ginomai Arts Center. 

Next meeting dates are 11/11 and 1/13.... maybe we should vote at the November meeting, and the winner of the vote could have their story posted on our blog until our meeting in December.....nothing like bragging rights for a writer! 

If you haven't been @ group for a while email me  (raymond.ussery@gmail.com) and I will get you the info on how we are passing our stories, poem, screenplays and essays around.

Tuesday, June 10th ~ 7:00 p.m.

This is our "Share Your Work Meeting" where members bring in their existing work to read in front of the group and then receive feedback. Each person will have an allotted slot of time that will be determined each meeting depending on the number of people who attend.

We will also use this meeting to talk about the group - is there enough interest? How many meetings should we actually be having? What do people want to get out of this group? It is important for you to attend or at least check in with me over e-mail if you have any feelings about these questions.

Canelled Tuesday May 27 Meeting

Interest in the two meetings a month is dwindling and to try and keep the group going it is better to keep focus on what the majority of us are looking for: a place to share our work and get constructive feedback.

I am cancelling this month's second meeting where we do writing exercises until we meet again June 10th. We can talk about what we want to do going forward at that time.

Depending on the exercise, we will most likely do quick timed writes (between 10-15 minutes) and share our work if desired after each exercise. This meeting is designed more around having time to write and not about critiquing.
